UPS subsidiary Coyote Logistics, a global third-party logistics provider, is set to expand its Chicago-based operations with the creation of a 'Tech Hub' in the city of Detroit, in the third quarter of 2019.
Coyote will be the anchor tenant in a five-storey, multi-use development which was formerly a warehouse. Once complete, Coyote is expected to employ 500 team members at the new location with 350 of those being new positions.
"Detroit's growing reputation as the Midwest's hub for technology and innovation was a huge draw as we looked to expand Coyote's operations," said John Perkovich, vice president at Coyote. "As we continue to raise the bar in the logistics industry, we are proud to be doing so alongside so many other companies in Detroit who are leaders in their industries."
